INTUITION

Romans 8:9—You however are controlled not by the sinful nature but by the Spirit, if the Spirit of God lives in you. And if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he does not belong to Christ.

Human intuition is a sensational instrument. In counseling, the ability to correctly sense what another is going though and provide accurate feedback despite the absence of specific information, makes intuition vital. But intuition is still fallible. This is why it is so important to have a strong relationship with God. The Holy Spirit never makes mistakes. When we accurately listen to Him, He provides us God’s perspective—heavenly insight for earthly dilemmas. Why traverse life trusting in hunches when God Himself promises to lead and guide us through eternity!

Inspiration

Intuition is the power to sense things without reasoning, and is a better guide than what is stated explicitly; but there is something infinitely more satisfactory—the entrance of the Holy Spirit into a man at new birth enabling him to see the Kingdom of God and to enter into it.—Oswald Chambers in So Send I You
