Luke 12:35—Be dressed ready for service and keep your lamps burning.
It’s funny how we idolize in our minds how if we could just do something spectacular for God everything would be great. The truth is God is more interested in our being faithful to serve Him throughout the day. Today I can be useful by being sensitive to the person working next to me who perhaps has a need. I can be useful by sharing an encouraging word. I can be useful by completing a task well that I have been assigned. I can be useful by listening to my children, and especially my wife! I can be useful by telling God right now I love Him and it is a pleasure to serve Him.
Don’t be discouraged by the hum drum of daily activities. Believe God can make you useful right where you are and have a great day in Jesus!
