God was in the room when he showered, shaved and grabbed a quick breakfast while reading the headlines and the entire sports section.

God was in the car when she drove to school. He saw the traffic jam and her fluster. He listened to the DJ jabbering. He heard her sing KLOST’s latest pop songs.

God was in the hospital and noticed her lingering obsession with the handsome receptionist; the rationalization that flirting was not the same thing as cheating.

God was in the family room Monday to Friday when they gathered to watch their favorite evening television programs. He was at the theater Saturday for the afternoon matinee.

God was at church and listened as they sang how much they loved Him. He observed their tepid interest in the message and eagerness to depart the building for other activities.
Meditation
1 Corinthians 3:16,17—Don’t you know that you are God’s sanctuary and that the Spirit of God lives in you? If anyone ruins God’s sanctuary, God will ruin him; for God’s sanctuary is holy and that is what you are. 6:19,20—Do you not know that your body is a sanctuary of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body. (Holman CSB)
The Apostle Paul contextually taught the Corinthian Christians that in both work and in issues of purity they must consider the Holy Spirit’s residence in their lives. The importance of his teaching cannot be overstated. When and if we remember Who lives in us, how and why we live should be wonderfully effected.
I’m appalled to think what God thinks of my thoughts on those days when I’m obsessed with my flesh and not with Him. I’m embarrassed that the majority of my time is fixated on what I would like as opposed to what He deserves. The hitch is not that I don’t love my Father. The challenge is that I don’t see Him. Therefore, I go about my day mostly forgetting that He is right inside me every step on the road home.
Wherever I walk God walks with me. Wherever I stay He abides. When people see me they are supposed to see Him. I am a moving temple. Do you know that sanctuaries never get secular holidays? Remember that we don’t own our temples they were bought by our Savior? Therefore, when I sin I mess up the abode of my Owner. When I live for that which will burn horrendously I miss the warmth of Him Who burns holifically. The problem with preoccupation is that most of the time it is concentrated on things of such little consequence and value.
I am challenged that if each of us who are God’s children would remember Who occupies us and live accordingly, we might dramatically reverse the growing sin movement! That ought to motivate us to be preoccupied with Him and give us something to think about . . . in reveration.
