Philippians 1:20—I eagerly expect and hope that I will in no way be ashamed, but will have sufficient courage so that now as always Christ will be exalted in my body whether by life or by death.
I rise up from my bed today with thoughts beyond attire,
To serve with every breath I take to please my Lord and Sire,
I know that obstacles may come, temptations from the liar,
But they cannot put out the Flame, my everlasting fire!
I cannot work to work no more for that would make life dire,
I will not quit because His grace has taught me to aspire.
He placed a new song in my mouth of praise and deep desire,
Many will see and worship Him, the sellers and the buyers.
The race goes on I’m full of hope yearning for the wire,
I hear the cheers of those who ran and now make up God’s choir.
Infused with love, I see His cross atop a million spires,
So stoked by what He did for us, O how could I retire?
