Isaiah 26:3—With perfect peace You will protect those whose minds cannot be changed because they trust You (GWT).
Confusion never comes from God. The cord of confusion is always plugged into the outlet of self, a self that is not grounded in God. One does not become confused as to what new things to buy (the maze of materialism), when focused on Christ who says "Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth . . ."
One does not incur confusion by seeking authority (the power pit), when listening to Christ who says, "All authority is given unto me . . ." One does not find love hopelessly compromised (the lair of lust), who agrees with Job "I made a covenant with my eyes not to look lustfully at a girl." One does not grope in grayness (the den of deceit), who can say, "let God weigh me in honest scales and He will know that I am blameless."
We lack understanding when we seek destinations God did not call us to; when we do that which God never sanctioned. We promote ignorant pride when we attempt to go where the Lord would have us but disregard asking Him for directions. If you feel trapped by indecision or bewildered by life, stop! Go to the Author of Truth. He will give you the wisdom you need to walk and the peace that passes all understanding.
